A swift is used to hold a skein of yarn to make winding the yarn easier. Commonly used in conjunction with a Ball Winder or a Cone Winder (sold separately). Also useful for measuring off warp when weaving. Ashford Umbrella Swift crafted from unfinished New Zealand silver beech hardwood. Can be finished with natural Beeswax Polish to protect the wood. Clamps to your table top.
