Premium grade, 100% pure New Zealand Romney wool. With open staples of good length, Romney is easy to spin and excellent for beginners. The staples have a well-defined crimp and medium lustre. With a mid-micron range, Romney is suitable for many purposes from hard-wearing outdoor garments, blankets to fabric.
We choose finer fleece types from specialty Romney breeders for our Romney sliver. The fibre is fine and soft and ideal for warm, light-weight sweaters.

suggestions for use
Spin into a medium semi-worsted or woollen yarn with approx 5 twists per 2.5cm (1in) in a plied, washed yarn.
Knitting: This hard-wearing yarn is suitable for outdoor jerseys.
Weaving: Excellent for upholstery fabrics and blankets.
Felting: Good for both wet and needle felting.
