Silky smooth bamboo fibre is made from cellulose extracted from the bamboo plant.  Bamboo fibre has some unique properties such as an anti-bacterial nature and strong UV light resistance.  It is very soft, has good drape and luster. Blend bamboo with wool to add sheen to a spinning or felting project. Bamboo can be dyed with procion dyes or use a cotton mordant for natural dyeing.
