This is a quill-spindle wheel designed to spin fine yarns like cotton, silk and angora using the long-draw technique. It is hand-crank operated (no foot treadle) and offers two ratios; 1:80 for short, fine fibres and 1:16 for longer fibres. The spindle can be rotated sideways for safety and transport. The crank handle can be set up on either the right or left side. Non-slip rubber feet allow comfortable table top use. Comes pre-finished with danish wood oil. This wheel comes in kit form and assembly is required.
