Polwarth
easy to spin...and next-to-skin soft
New Zealand polwarth is an exceptional fibre - lofty, elastic and next-to-skin soft. Polwarth sheep originated in Australia from a breeding programme between merino and lincoln sheep. The merino ancestry gives the wool fineness and the lincoln, a longer staple length. The result is a wool that's soft and easy to spin with plenty of "bounce" in the finished yarn. Also a nice felting wool.
